Canterbury Appoints Dr. M. Taruj Ali to Lead Richmond’s First Specialized Ventilator Unit

Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Richmond has appointed pulmonologist Dr. M. Taruj Ali as the director of its newly opened Ventilator Unit, the first of its kind in the area. Dr. Ali, with 18 years of experience in pulmonary and critical care, will lead the center’s 18-bed unit, which specializes in treating ventilator-dependent and respiratory patients. Canterbury is the only skilled nursing facility in Richmond able to accept ventilator patients directly from acute care, offering 24/7 respiratory therapy and advanced vent weaning services. The center is also undergoing significant modernization, including the addition of a new in-facility Dialysis Unit.
